The government shouldn't solve peoples' problems. People should solve peoples' problems.

In an idealistic world there wouldn't be any problems. The fact is that world doesn't exist. In the real world issues will always exist and people will always have problems.

I think the approach of public education can be directed differently. We spend more money on one prisoner then what it cost to send a kid to college. The argument is if we spend more money now on Education we lose more money to other programs I.E. health care, national defense, and etc...

The fact of the matter is in the real world when you put more into anything something else is reduced. More money in education could mean less health care for people who can't afford it.

I am not saying that more can't be done I'm just saying something else pays the price. I'm for education, I'm for national security, I'm for health care for those who can't afford it.

I think the standards of our education system need to be raised. What this country has been lacking for a long time is reform. The government could be fine tuned to be more efficient from what I've seen but who's willing to do it?

Why would you want the government solving your problems? The more government gets "involved" with people's lives the more Libs are going to raise taxes so that we can pay for those services.
Their purpose is not to solve the problems of the people. Their stated purpose is to represent the people which means they are to represent the will of the people in solving the problems of the country. When you localize the governments role to solving the problems of individuals, you create a progressively expanding government with a voracious appetite for funds. Where do you think those funds will come from?

The proper question is; can the government solve ANY problem without taking our money or rights? In fact even with taking our money and rights? I don’t think this question needs to be answered as they demonstrate their competence in every thing they touch! Just look at the job they are doing with the control of our borders, the war on drugs, and last but least our public schools!

Ineffective....as can be seen from mounting pressures from all groups..

The cake is small and all want to eat it..
but before it reaches people..the politicians and those corrupt officials want to gobble it up..

so the problems remain unsolved..and in the mean while new one crop up..

So government is incapable to cope with pressure...just carrying on...fooling public until next elections..then new buffoons are elected and so on and on....60 years have passed with lot of things undone..

Also will power and honesty is lacking..first when they come to power they want to recover the money they spent on elections..but it does not stop at that..they want thier next generation to be comfortable..so the loot continues..imagine..it never ends..then how can the problems be solved..they keep increasing..

100 rupee allocated for a work .in actual practice only 10 rupee is spent on real cause and the rest in the pockets of shameless corrupt officials middlemen and politicians..

Ask each MP how they have spent 1 crore allocated for their constituency..not many can say they have spent properly for the needs of the poor and down trodden..?

God save this country..if only God exists..alas..

Part of being free is being responsible for your own problems. Turning that responsibility over to a government means giving up some of your freedom.
