I grew up in the late 60' s early 70's- my ice cream man sold these great strawberry filled tarts(warm) with a chocolate coating and lot's of whipped cream, that were just amazing! 2 of us would chip in .05 cents each and eat this thing like it was the best steak!!! THANK YOU for asking the question and bringing back a great memory!!!

I don't know what its called. It was in a plastic ice cream cone shape and it had a gum ball on the bottom. I don't remember the ice cream flavor, I just wanted that gumball! lol
It was $1 and we would chase that truck down to the next stop if mom took too long getting us the money--LOL all the kids from one block chasing this truck with this melody ringing thruout the neighborhood. oh the good ole days when getting to the ice cream truck was the hardest moment of the day

We had two. One was vanilla ice cream on a stick that was covered not with chocolate but with sweetened cracker crumbs. The other was Logan Berry ices, medium blue in color, that tasted better than anything I've ever had. They cost I think 5 or 10 cents; that was 50 years ago...

My mom would never let me get anything from the ice cream man.
"We've got ice cream in the freezer!!!!"
Sometimes tho she would buy me treat from the store that was a frog w/ M&M eyes... I think I saw that on the ice cream truck's poster a few times.

I liked the Cherryanza. It was vanilla ice cream with cherries (on a stick) and covered in chocolate and it was 10cents.
Makes me a bit nostalgic thinking about it. (smile)
