Who was the US president then? Those were good times. Are you better off in the last 8 years?

And the only lame scandal they could think of was "Monicagate." Sniff--don't make me cry.

The biggest reason gas prices are so high is because the libs keep blocking and voting against new refineries being built. There hasn't been one sine the 70's! Gasoline prices have to go up the demand has about doubled and still the same amount being refined. Also all the different formulas that are mandatory for different states. Clinton gave us the biggest tax hike on gasoline ever. Sure oil companies make a profit so do all successful businesses. they have stock holders to answer to and they re-invest profits into maintaining that business. Don't let politicians fool you with the blame game. Government rakes in way more in profits (they call them taxes) and invest nothing. If they really wanted to help bring down the price suspend some of these outrageous taxes on gasoline and disel that we pay. We live in a free society based on a free market that uses capitalism. If a company makes a profit LEGALLY then more power to them. It helps in other ways too. Don't get caught up in the rich people are evil senereo. It's what the libs use to pit people against people and makes a case for socialism. Which they want. I am not rich by any means. But I value this countries right of the individual to become what ever we want to by working hard and being honest. If a person gets rich through hard work good for him/her. Once we let government take that right away we will cease to be a free people.

Hell I remember when gas prices were 75 cents a gallon and a three scoop ice cream cone cost 15 cents. I think Johnson was your president then. A coffee and a doughnut cost 10 cents. A pack of cigarettes cost 49 cents, and you could get four loaves of bread for $1.00! Or was it five? I don't remember exactly. But "The Beatles" were still recording great albums, I think "Rubber Soul" was just released. Jim Morrison and "The Doors" were just coming onto the scene, and Led Zeppelin hadn't yet appeared, but "The Beach Boys" were about to influence "The Beatles" in a great way.
Five bucks got you a good album.

Hey kiddo, I was in college when prices went from $1.05 to 60 cents. Clinton, but he had the help of the dot com's out there. The only time you will hear me defend Bush is here:

With a war in two countries, no real law or legacy to his name besides this war, and turmoil amongst his staff, the market is still strong which can only be explained by the tax breaks years ago. And NO we are not stronger now.

Remember when it was .69 cts. Now, you have CEO's of oil companies retiring with billions in their pockets thanks to us the auto owners and we do not see that, we are so busy about immigration issues.

That is the way goverment distract us from one issue to another and the majority of people do not see that they simply concentrate on hating others.
