What is your daughter into at the moment? Has she got a favourite past time? Theme her party around this. Have a movie day: popcorn, comfy pillows, good movies. Buy frozen fingerfood's(quick, easy & less mess), make some patty cakes with edible glitter, have chips & lolly bowls. Don't go to too much trouble otherwise you end up with heaps of leftovers. Play games like Twister and the normal party games. The girls will pretty much amuse themselves. Another idea is to have a small gorup of friends(4 or 5) and take them out for the day. Sometimes cheaper, less work and you don't have to worry about anything. Just make sure you have another person to keep them under control.
Whatever you do GOOD LUCK

Call me partial to the islands, but how about a luau? She might enjoy that. You can find lots of different luau items at Oriental Trading Company. Their prices are pretty reasonable as well. You could even tune into a Hawaiian radio station on line and play Hawaiian music during the party. You wouldn't have to pay any extra money for the music.

Plan a party around what she likes, theme wise. Pinatas are always fun. You could let her have a sleep over and they could do makeovers and play dress up.

Good foods to serve would be cake and ice cream, of course, little snack weinies in bbq sauce, chips, dip, a veggie tray, fruit salad, watermelon, pretzels, and any other yummy stuff!

Have a great party!

How about a tropical luau? You can get inexpensive fun things at a party supply store and play a game of limbo. You could also go to a local community pool and have a picnic there.

Get some chocolate candy molds in fun shapes, regular chocolate as well as colored chocolate melts, and let the girls create their own chocolate candy (it's really quite simple). You could get a package of little paint brushes from the dollar store and let them color in the details on the mold with the colored melts before filling them with regular chocolate. Then have the girls vote on the best one with a little prize (maybe a mold to take home for keeps). This is something fun and creative that most kids enjoy (in my experience), and it doesn't cost much at all. Molds are pretty cheap only about a buck or two. There's lots of info. on how to do it at http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com/chocolate-candy-making-molds.html

If you don't want to spend the money on molds, check out their chocolate candy recipes for kids ideas. That might even trigger your thoughts on a theme. I think the page for that is http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com/chocolate-candy-recipes-for-kids.html
You could even make chocolate covered apples or something like that.

Have fun!

Throw her a luau and get or have the kids make leis that they can wear at the party. You can make grass skirts with old skirts you cut up or use news paper.
