I know meaning in a baby's name is a lot to think about. I want something perfect. Nothing overused. The middle name has to be Kathleen. Anyone have ideas that would sound good with Kathleen and a german last name, starts with a B. I won't post it because it's very rare and you could find me. lol. I was kind of thinking Emelie Kathleen. But how does that sound? Stupid? I want it that spelling because it's a friend of mine. So.. post what would go good and what you think of mine? I'm not pregnant, nor will I be for a while, so no rush on the name. Just considering..

If it's a boy, it'll be a jr.

Emelie is after the Swedish exchange student in high school. She was a great friend. And Kathleen is after my 6th grade teacher who recently passed away. She had great impact on my life.

I love Emelie. And why not? What an honor to name the future baby after your friend!

But what if it's a. . . boy?! ; )

No, I actually like it. I don't find it stupid.

Other ideas:

Rebecca Kathleen
Victoria Kathleen
Annabella Kathleen
Willa Kathleen
Sophia Kathleen
Juliana Kathleen
Aliana Kathleen
Sara Kathleen
Raisa Kathleen
Andrea Kathleen
Sharona Kathleen
Natalia Kathleen
Louisa Kathleen
Liliana Kathleen
Jessica Kathleen

With the exception of Emilie, which is fabulous, I think Kathleen would sound best with an "a" as the last letter of the first name. Just don't go with Abigail. The girl who played Little Miss Sunshine is Abigail Kathleen Breslin, and I would hate to think your baby girl would grow up sharing a name with a child star who many other kids may know of.....especially if she'll be Abigail B!

Best of luck. If you have any questions or would like some more ideas, let me know.

Emelie Kathleen is a great name, and I like the unique spelling of Emelie. It makes the name as a whole more feminine and original. Emelie also means "industrious" or "one who strives and excels" which is a great and special meaning. You should definitely go with that name, it's a very beautiful choice.

My mom's name is Kathleen, so I considered naming my daughter Sarah Kathleen, but I went with Sarah Mae instead because both my grandmothers' middle names were Mae.
My mom's name is Kathleen Janette. I know a girl named Sarah Catherine, and it rolls off the tongue quite nicely. Good luck, my daughters' names came to me before I was ever pregnant with them!
