If confirmed lesbians and gays do not have latent heterosexual desires, then why do they persist in trying to get heterosexuals to try homosexual sex, and insist that a heterosexual has larent homosexual desires?

maybe the impression that you have of gays calling straight people latent homosexuals in this forum is because they are in the LGBT forum. Think about it.....If a "Straight" person didn't have some interest in us and our issues why would they be in this forum? I've yet to notice anyone going to any other forum on YA and asking straight people how they keep down their homosexual urges. Maybe I'm being overly simplistic and logical but thtat seems like a pretty good guess. as for fighting hetero/homo desires....please. People are made the way they are, the only choice they have is being themself or suppressing themself and living a lie. Like me, that statement goes both ways.

They insist those things because many heterosexual people are oblivious to any world but their own. They wish not to have contact with them and wish to treat them as lesser beings with lesser human rights. To make matters worse, many heterosexuals adhere to Hell and Brimfire teachings of obsessive Christianity. Did you know that Jesus did not once, in his entire 33 years on earth, ever once mention homosexuality? This speaks volumes. Homosexuals may at times be critical of the homophobic way of heterosexuality. But they are not latent heterosexuals. Jesus condemned the straight prostitutes actions and then forgave even them. But don't tell your christian friends this bit of news, it might force them to comprehend the concept of forgiveness. They shall be judged as they judge.

*sigh*.. I damned well know that I don't have them.. trust me, I tried forcing myself to be with guys.. and came pretty close to killing myself for it.. Then I decided I'd rather be alive and lesbian.. and since to me the bible is a good work of fiction.. that argument doesn't work for me.. (although to be more specific for ya.. according to the bible it's not right for a man to sleep with a man.. but the women are completely left out of the picture.. so, technically.. we can do what we want.. but until you sacrifice your children, stop eating pork, and become an active member of the slave owners guild.. you aren't really taking the bible all that literally either)
So, to finish up.. the idea that we are gay only because of the actual sex is redundant.. I am gay and have not had a girlfriend in years.. I am still gay.. I slept with a girl when I was 8.. I've always been attracted to my own sex.. I was not acting out, nor was I striving for attention... So, basically, any "straight" person who is not currently having a sexual relationship is not actually straight by your standard.. so, I guess you are indicating that all humans are Asexual by nature.. hmm.. Interesting theory.. I doubt ya'll are going to jump on that band wagon though..

See. That is what you don't understand.. I am not gonna get int the argument whether they are born that way or not. But trust me, the majority of them if they could would rather be heterosexual. You think people grow up and be like "GEE, I wish I can grow to be a homosexual, so I can be condemned and ousted by the majority of the public!" That is not how it works. So if they tended to like the opposite sex naturally as you point out, don't you think that that is what they would do.. you are very narrowminded.. Get your head out of the bible and learn to think for yourself.

Well I tend to give into my desires, if appropriate, both heterosexual and homosexual..I'm bisexual you see.
I would think though that a gay or a lesbian would not have any heterosexual desires though, I mean they are exclusively attracted to the same gender.

If that is the case then they are not really gay. As soon as they start dating and having intercourse with members of the opposite sex they will become straight again.
