SQRT(16x^16)
= SQRT16 * SQRTx^16
= 4x^8

No, the statement is false.

sqrt(16 * x^16) = sqrt(16) * sqrt(x^16)

= + or - 4 * (x^16)^(1/2)

= + or - 4 * [x^(16/2)]

= + or - 4x^8.

Hope u found this useful...........

No, To make this simpler to see, you can change the square root into a (1/2) power. So you have:

(16^16)^(1/2)

When you have a power raised to a second power you sijmply multiply the two powers...
therefore:
16^8 will be your final answer.

sqrt(16x^16)=4x^4
i.e. 4x^8 = 4x^4
i.e. x^8 = x^4 if it is true,
Then x = 1 or x = 0

You should first split that as sqrt(16)Xsqrt(x^16) to avoid any confusions.

You will now get 4x^8.

That's the answer. Simple!

its false as sqr.root of 16x^16 is 4x^8 as x^16/2=x^8

no

sqrt(16x^16) = sqrt(16) sqrt(x^16) = 4x^8

2007-06-02 00:10:25 · answer #7 · answered by      7 · 0 1

no,
(16 x^16) is not equal to (4x^4).

we know,

16=2x2x2x2 ,
4=2x2,

therefore, 16x^16= ( 2x^4)x^16 = (2x^64),

so, sqrt. (16x^16)=(2x^32),

and, 4x^4=(2x^2)x^4=2x^8,

as,
(2x^32) not equal to (2x^8)

or, sqrt.(16x^16) not equal to (4x^4)

(4 *X^4)^2= 4^2*(x^4)^2= 16*X^8

The actual answer is sqrt(16x^16) =+/-4*X^8

2007-06-02 00:45:49 · answer #9 · answered by A.V.R. 7 · 0 0

sqrt(16)*sqrt(x^16)
sqrt(16)= +/-4
sqrt(x^16)=sqrt(x^8)^2
sqrt & power 2 gets canceled so
sqrt(x^16)= +/-x^8
ANS : : +/- 4x^8
