1)
Distributive property
6*(5+4)
You must distribute the 6 to each term.
6(5) + 6(4)
= 30 + 24
= 54
2) Commutative Property of Addition
Just switch the terms in the brackets.
6*(4+5)
= 54
All the commutative property states is that if you switches the digits being added or multiplied, it still remains equal. E.g. 2+1 = 3, and 1+2 = 3 as well.
3. Commutative property of multiplication
6*9 = 54
9*6 = 54
Good luck.

Using the Distributive Property:
'Distribute' the 6 and get 6*(5+4)=6*5+6*4=30+24=54
Using the Commutative Property of Addition:
'Commute' the terms being added and get 6*(5+4)=6*(4+5)=6*9=54
Using the Commutative Property of Multiplication:
'Commute' the factors being multiplied and get 6*(5+4)=(4+5)*6=9*6=54

Generally, the order of operations for solving math problems is crucial to the answer. A basic rule is that you do all of the operations inside parentheses first. Then, you do all other operations beginning at the left and moving to the right.
The Distributive Property means you "distribute" the factor outside of the parentheses across the factors inside the parentheses. Following this property, you would first multiply 6 by 5 to get 30 and then multiply 6 by 4 to get 24. Then, you add the two resulting products together to arrive at an answer of 54.
The Commutative Property means the order of operations doesn't matter. In this case, if perform the operation inside the parentheses first you would add 5 plus 4 to get 9. Then, you would multiply this sum by 6 to get 54, which is the same answer as when you followed the Distributive Property.

distributive property is bascially expanding..
so it like 6*5+6*4=?
30+24= 54
not sure about the rest

you always do the calculation in ( ) first so 5+4=9 therefore
6*9=63

well, you have already gotten good explanations on how, but just in case you didn't know, i'll tell you why. Order of Operations, or PEMDAS is why.
P=parentheses
E=exponents
M=Multiplication
D=division
A=addition
S=subtraction
