ok this isn't a question on how to replace one. i wanted to know if there is a way to make my tail lights bright/more red then the stock bulbs. the reason i'm asking is because i had recently tinted my tail lights and i they turned out great but with a slight purple tint, nothing major but i was wondering if there is a bulb i can buy for my 91 Nissan 240sx SE coupe.

you can go with led lights in it or go to a higher intensity bulb in it,and that's really the best way to go,any good parts store will have these in stock,and they do add a lot of brightness to it,good luck with it.

yes , you could change it to be brighter just go to westernauto and tell them the problem it is easy you can do it yourself.trustme???

fuses are cheap, it could be that the connections are corroded. try cleaning them off.
