I have a 1992 Ranger with ~205k on it.
The engine is starting to burn a little oil when its cold, but i'm just wondering what would be the best things to do with it (simple stuff like plugs etc.) and also if its worth putting work into cause i dont really know how long these engines usually last.

Rangers dont usually last too long, just keep doing the regular tune up's and changing the oil. Your doing good to have a ranger get 200K on it. My friend had 2 and both died before 120K.

Well you know it will last 200k and then some The motor info would be really handy to know. Tune it as getting something else would be more expensive, and may not be any better than what you have now

When you say it burns oil when cold, do you mean the first few seconds? If so, probably valve seals. They can be replaced, and you can buy a lot of gasoline for the price of a new truck.
