I'm a labor and delivery nurse and believe me, I have heard hundreds and hundreds of baby's heartbeats and their rate has nothing to do with their sex. Only two ways to know before you actually "check out the plumbing" yourself is by an ultrasound which usually can tell (sometimes mistakes are made) and an amniocentesis which is always correct because it looks at the actual chromosomes. But it is not done just to check out the sex.

Unfortunatly no. Everyone was sure that I was having a boy, and the nurse at my OB's office even congratulated me on my new SON, all based on heartbeat. Imagine my surprise when a few months later I gave birth to a healthy beautiful little GIRL! This old wives tale has been going around forever. Sorry hun, I guess the only half way accurate way to tell is an ultrasound, and even those can be wrong.

They usually say a girls heat beats faster then a boys.. and if your babies heartbeat is less then 140 its a boy.. if its above 140 its a girl!.. but that;s an OLDWIFE TALE.. don't believe this stuff.. to be honest i'm pregnant with a girl and soon to pop!! and her heartbeat has always been higher then 140.. however a friends baby boy's heart beat was always above 140.. just means there healthy.. so i hope you have a healthy baby:)

Old wives tales say it does. Supposedly over 140 is a girl and under is a boy. This has held true for about 25% of my friends, so don't start painting the nursery. My baby's heartbeat is 152, but I'm still convinced he is a boy!

MYTH: The heart rate of a baby in utero indicates gender (ie. a fast heart rate of more than 140 beats per minute is a girl and a slower heart rate of less than 140 beats per minute is a boy).
"There is not a thing in the science of ob/gyn that supports this or suggests there is any correlation between heart rate and gender."
Yet, he says, the old wives tales about it persist. "I've heard it all and everyone has their own family mythology about it. But none of it is true. It's just not an accurate way to predict gender at all."

No. A heart beat is a heart beat. I can honestly say that is my personal experience that the way you carry a boy and a girl differ (at least it did for me). It looked like I was trying to steal a basketball with my boys and my girl expanded my waistline all the way around. Most people couldn't tell I was pregnant with my girl.

Get some Crystal Drano. Pee in a tumbler cup or bowl. combination a teaspoon of the crystal drano on your pee. If it keeps to be brown, its a woman. If it turns blue, its a boy. this technique has been handed down in my family contributors and it has by no ability been incorrect. some scientific Society definitely did attempting out in this technique, and it does artwork. It has some thing to do with the chemical reactions out of your physique. stable success! you would be shocked once you detect out how precise it incredibly is!!
