I think once you've been betrayed it is much more likely to feel distrustful and to believe another betrayal is imminent.
A broken heart does a lot of damage.

Yes. It's called low self-esteem. A strong person recognizes it's a possibility in one's life to experience betrayal, however, you remain strong and carry on. You can't live your whole life worrying about something that may or may not happen. Just live a respectful life, and people will hopefully respect you.

well, of course, but the DEGREE to this is another thing.
I am cautious, but I try not to hurt other people ever.
but some enjoy hurting others, I almost think in order to make them feel better about "wrongs" done to them, especially between man and woman.
