The Nazis were strong because of their cutting edge technology.

Germany was divided because after WW2 russia claimed half of Germany and the US claimed the other half which is why we still have a military base there. The russians built the wall to keep German scientists from escaping to the west.

It is easier to see a person climbing a wall than swimming in a body of water.

the cause is the fear to the unkown probably.
people feels comfortable living in a routine manner.
always there will be somebody who will ask: but what if...? following a large chain of pretexts and arguments to build a wall... or to build a bridge too
I live in México, and what I read here every day, makes sense with a tremendous ignorance both sides of the border, and both cultures.
What México is, and how mexicans are, USA citizens don´t know, and What USA is, and how americans are, mexican do not understand too.
That is because nobody is interested in understand each other.
An example, I got surprised about the version of the mexican american war that the USA citizens learned as the truth. We learned a very different version.
Another example, what the USA citizens think about Mexico, they always think Mexico is as a small town with people sleeping beside a cactus. That is a stereotype and it is false.
I agree with you, and I hope we never see a USA Nazi planning a new holocaust, or a mexican guerrilla planning another attack.
After all, we will be always neighbors, and there is nobody who could change that.

The Nazi Military was so strong because the government put money and technology behind them and made service mandatory for 18 to 24 year old to provide the bodies, it was later increased to 14 to 62 by wars end.

The country of Germany was never divided by a wall only Berlin. (That's why it was called the Berlin Wall).

We have not had a good diplomatic President since Nixon and Reagan. Carter, Bush 1, Bush 2 and Clinton have all been diplomatic disasters. It is probably time to go through a period of isolationism, kind of a wait and see attitude. When I lived in Europe the survival of the local economy was based on American Dollars. If we withdraw, let the extremists keep doing things like bombing London and Madrid, and just wait and see, there will probably be a third World War as Muslim extremists try to inflitrate Europe and just as it has been since the times of the Romans, someone will need to save their buts.

Germany lost WW1. When you lose you learn more than when you win. Germany wound up with a man that had served on the front lines of WW1. Most other leaders in what would be the ALLIES had even been in a war. Hitler was not about to fall back into the trench warfare that he had fought in and built the most modern military machine to make sure that Germany would have the edge. Militarism was his propaganda that would make Germany powerful again.

The Berlin wall was built by the GERMAN COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT with the backing of the Soviet Union to stem the hemorrhage of talent and brains leaving the East German side to get to the freedom of the West side. It was not a wall built to keep people out but to keep people IN!!!!

The wall along the US-Mexican Border is a stupid strategy to try to stem the flow of illegal aliens. It will fail because to make a wall like that work you have to expend a LOT more time and money to stop determined folks. It is mostly a political shell game.

The main reason for the Nazi's Military strength consists of 3 aspects: Drive, Blitzkrieg, leaders. Since the Germans suffered terrible defeats in WWI they had strong nationalism and believed that they could conquer the world if they fought with everything they had. Next came the idea of Blitzkrieg or " lightening war". Basically, they believed in striking hard and fast to eliminate opponents. Take for instance the invasion of Poland in 1939, the Nazis occipied the country and eliminated threats before they could defend. They had the same idea when Hitler ordered airstrikes over London. Finally, the leaders were known to be strong minded men. Erwin Rommel who was incharge of D-Day invasion for the Nazis was known for being a great military leader. He wrote books on modern infantry that was the best concepts of that time. However, their technology could not compete to that of Allied Nations. Hitler payed little attention to expanding the German airforce which in a sense was a devistating mistake. They did, however, have brilliant tank technology. Other than that, their weapons where less reliable than that of the Allies.

E-1, E-2 and so on through E-9. Then you have WO-1, WO-2 and WO-3. After that, you have O-1, O-2 and so on through O-10. Now, if you want to know what those means, it would depend on the branch of service you are talking about. In the Air Force, you have Airman Basic, Airman, Airman First Class, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Technical Sergeant, Master Sergeant, Senior Master Sergeant, and finally Chief Master Sergeant. Then the WO's or warrant officers, but there aren't any in the Air Force, used to be, but not any longer. The for officers, you have Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and finally General. Each branch of the military has their own names for each paygrade, but the paygrades are all the same.

Nazis failed because they split their military when deciding to attack the Soviets. They failed because they were stupid to make a deal with the japanese and pulled in the US. Nazis failed because they ignored possible threats. Germany later failed mostly due to economics.

The US is now ignoring a huge threat, illegal immigration. We are just letting anyone in taking over our culture, economy and education. We are letting people in that have no loyalty to this country. Mexico has their military on the southern border yet we can't close our borders? Immigrants use to come to this country and become american. Illegals are coming to this country and staying mexican or guatemalen, etc. We have a right and responsibility to secure our own borders.

I have no problem whatsoever with a guest worker program. Just first build the wall. Then those that want to come to work can come in and work only. There should be zero benefits for noncitizens. You should not become a citizens just by birth, only if a parent is a legal citizen. If we got rid of the incentives to come here other then work then our problems with illegals draining our programs and our culture will go way down.

the USSR built the wall in Berlin. it divided the communist portion of Germany from the Democratic portion. I want a wall between the USA and mexico. mexicos government wants all of its citizens to come across that wall. we don't need to build bridges, mexicans are great at making them. they need to be torn down because they are illegal where they are being built. illegal mexicans are just that ILLEGAL! they break the law, over and over. Mexico shoots the same kind of law breakers that break their laws of border. we are not Nazis but we are pissed off at you pompous mudder fockers and if it gets out of hand, I will certainly volunteer to help in the control process.

Whoa sparky! The Berlin wall was built to keep people in and oppressed. Our wall is going up to keep us safe and from being invaded by illegal Mexicans. There's a big difference there, Libby!

Learn some history, first the Russians, put up the wall, the
German Military had nothing to do with it. The Nazi Party
was a Political Party, and had no direct affiliation with the
Army.
