I weighed myself today and wanted to cry. Im 5'1 162lbs.
Does anyone out there have any ideas of how to lose this weight (30lbs)? If I work out at least one hour for 4 days....how soon will I see results? Please..NO "funny" remarks. I feel bad as it is. Help!

i am 13 and when i was 12 i weighed a good 135 pounds and i was not healthy and i was well..a nerd but then i jogged everyday for 30 minutes and i did all the stuff i enjoyed, like swimming and i had 2 cut grass so that helped and i ate healthy and some popsicles have no sugar so i still eat those :) yummy, anyways i ate breackfast bars everyday with my breakfast.i am now a happy size 2 and idk what i way but i'm light enough to be a flyer in cheerleading. size doesnt always matter!!!! hope that boosted your self confidence some !!! you have to cut down on the calories. i suggest using the elliptical machine as well. i do not like working out and that burns the fastest calories in the shortest amount of time. but sounds like maybe you are taking in the same amount of calories you always have. it's great that you are excercising but you will only maintain the weight unless you eat better

good luck. if you would like you can email me and each day or even once a week we can check in with each other b/c i'm trying to drop some pounds as well. and the 2000 calorie thing is not the way to go you have to try for 1200-1500

You need to work out for more than four days if you want to lose 30 pounds.

I know people who've lost that much by merely watching what they eat. One of them is on the Weight Watchers plan and he looks great! The other just cut back on the bad foods and started working out.

You need to watch what you eat and exercise. I know how you feel, I just had my son and I weigh 50lbs more than I did before I had him. It is so hard to exercise and I need to eat like I am still pregnant because I am breastfeeding. I know I had a child and that's why I have the extra weight but it is still hard to deal with when your use to being a certain weight. If you still feel down after trying to workout and eat better then maybe you can consult your doctor and ask him/her what you can do to lose the extra weight

i'm sorry. i think if you work really hard for the full hour and for four days you'll probably lose about 10lbs. u have to work out at least 5 times a week to lose 30lbs. you good try jenny craig or la fitness, they defanetly help a lot, good luck.

Go for a walk almost every day. You can go with a friend, or bring an Ipod with you.

If you walk for an hour, the time will go fast, and it's not strenuous and boring.

You also have to replace your favorite snack with some good mini-carrots or maybe a banana.

I think you need to see your family doctor and get some blood test done, like check your thyroid that may be contributing to your weight gain. Also, ask for a nutrition consult and then enroll yourself in a gym and see a personal trainer to get you started the right and safe way.

Go to www.slimfast.com, they will ask you questions, come up with the appropriate calorie level for you, suggest meal plans, also has a weight calculator, to tell you how long it would take you to lose the 30 pounds.

Don't feel bad!!! RELAX!! If you want to lose weight then take ur time!!! If you rush u will do it the wrong way and u wont lose crap!!

go on a 2000 calorie diet and drink water and do lots of walking=good luck
