What is a good type of mascara to wear?

I want something not too harsh but brings out my lashes. I have brown eyes and hair and medium skin. I have used Lancome mascara but it makes my eyes itch so I need to get something different. I also want waterproof. It would also be great if it was easy to take off but it doesn't matter too much. Any suggestions would be very helpful!!

I have the Loreal lengthening mascara that comes with a primer. It's great if you learn how to apply it correctly, otherwise it may come out a bit clumpy. Its great for bringing out the eyes and worth the money. You can find it waterproof and non waterproof.

Firstly If you insist on wearing water proof mascra then make sure you take it off eod night/day. If you dont your eyelashes will "crack" off. Trust me.
Also invest in a eyelash conditioner. Bloom does a cheapie If but a goodie. Herome' does the best (If your in sydney.. Gowings Building in the city on Market street LV 7 has a discount beauty and hair store)
Mascra The best i have ever used if DIOR SHOW in chestnut i think its called. If you like long lashes like me also but DIOR SHOW UNLIMITED. I use both at the same time.. when i'm going for heaps of long long thick lashes.
Its about $49 aud BUT its well worth it.

Also another idea is to get regular eye lash tints.. blue/black. It keeps you looking gorgeous when you cannot be bothered to wear mascra everyday.. and then creates a bigger impact when you do go out .. Its about $16-25. It will also keep your lashes seperated and it is a breeeze to put mascra on too.

Another little hint is to use an eyelash primer.. Channel do a good one. But again if you dont have a big budget.. Other cheap brand do ok ones. The channel one is clear/white. App. before putting mascra on.

I love black Clinique High Impact mascara. It's the best mascara there is, and you really don't need to use much of it. It should run you about twenty bucks, maybe a few dollars less. Actually, any of Clinique's mascara is great, and they make several waterproof formats. Not to mention it's hypoallergenic, so no itchy eyes! No mascara is really easy to take off-- I use a mild soap and water on a washcloth to get mine off.

According to my make up artist friend, Maybelline is the best. It has water proof version, too. Choose the soft black (pink with black cap)
