Im an American.I dont get why everyone hates us.Most of us are hard working decent ppl trying to make a living. What is the Australian perspective?

Sorry, I am not Australian but, I can assure you that there are many reasons why we are hated.
I'm sorry I cannot give an example from this country as all I have met from there have become friends! So, I would think most do like us or, I would not be so welcomed by them.

America used to have international prestige. That has gone down the toilet the past four or five years. I believe that a lot of non-Americans think that the capitalistic greed that runs rampant throughout our government is representative of all Americans.
Yes, most Americans are decent.

People base there opinions on what had happened to the world, since US is a big econimical country(rich) and they are in most wars and have been in many historical events as the ''bad people'' they think all americans are bad!!

i don't know about australians but l'm Canadian and i think most people don't hate the average american but its more about the mentality of your government. i mean war will not be the best way to solve a situation and its even worst when there is no reason to make war except money and oil profit.
