my good pc is kinda out of commision until i can get some money and i have to use this crappy emachine
is there anything i can download that can improve my video card or ?
can i actually buy an upgraded one ?
i just bought a game and it plays but crashes at random times and its making me mad because im really getting into it ahah
i have more than enough RAM, im left only to think its the video card
any input ?

NO COST SOLUTION: Lower screen resolution and/or lower game quality settings. Also try 16bit color quality instead of 32bit. This is adjusted under settings in display properties.
COSTLY SOLUTION: Buy a faster video card. A 7600GT or 7900GS perhaps.

Getting another video card with more memory on it should do the trick, but depending on what video card is in it now, you might just need newer drivers (or drivers that take advantage of the current video card's 3D acceleration). Most MS Windows drivers for the video card don't take advantage of 3D acceleration.

also if you get a new video card get a better power supply to beffy of a vard will not run with a lack of power
also see what kind of slot do you have agp, pci express, or just pci only. if you have agp or pci express get a card to go there because they will make more of a difference than a pci one will
