I heard a rumor that Michael Rosenbaum is leaving Smallville yet it sounds like they are still going to make the show. Does anyone know if they are going to try and replace him or what? Is he really leaving?

Here's my answer to the person who posted the question.
I've heard that you're absolutely correct however he's said that he'll be leaving after next season. It's likely they could just not bother with a Lex for the 8th season if the show is still going on - who knows. They do have a lot of comic book villains that they can choose from if Michael (Lex) leaves after the next season.
His contract expires after the next season. The only one who we know is confirmed to be signed for any season after the next season is Tom.

not a chance his contract is set for the next 4 seasons and he loves playing the role
