On an MSNBC newscast tonight they had a man on defending this book, about some kids who start a lemonade stand and two Liberals who look just like Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton do everything to get in their way. It is targeted to the 9-12 year old age groups. Has this country gotten so shallow that we are now brainwashing our children? I remember all the talk over that Muslim Mickey Mouse brainwashing Palestinian children. The two incidents seem to make us contradict ourselves.

My point here is not a liberal or a conservative one, but once again people twist things. My point was that
many children have a genuine fear of what is under thier beds and in their closets...do we really want to scare our children into accepting our political beliefs or would it be better to help guide them into young adults who can make their own decisions.

Firestorm, I am not saying that one side or the other does it, so there. I agree that it happens on both sides, but once again the point is missed...Is it fair to our children when we adults act like this?

LOL, that hilarious! Hopefully if parents do their job and not expect the government to, they can teach their kids and let them make their own decisions when it is time to let them go

Your just now worried about society sinking so low, to the point of brainwashing kid's? What has the public school system been doing for the last 30 years? Look at the lineage of who's been directing public education, the changes that have taken place regarding what is taught and the public betterment agendas proffed to the students? Public education is all about manipulating kid's to believe whats fed to them. And your worried over a single book that takes the counter point? Is there a problem in presenting a different viewpoint other than what is deemed politically correct? If you think so, maybe you're a product of the public education system and have grown up with an instilled bias against anything contradictory to liberalism.

First off, I ask you to watch the news on any major network and try to find anything other than leftist spin. Hillary Clinton just had an event with the word tomorrow spelled wrong in huge letters right behind her. Nothing was said. Remember what the media did to Vice President Quayle for a similar mistake. How about the fact the US unemployment has fallen to its lowest level ever under George Bush's watch and yet all we hear is how awful the economy is. If it is brainwashing you are concerned about, this silly little children's book pales in comparison to what happens on a daily basis in the news. If not under your bed, the liberals are centainly in your home via the TV.

It comes from both sides. I read recently about a book called "My Mommy is a Democrat"...
Now... What is that about brainwashing? I guess it should really be up to PARENTS to raise their children, shouldn't it. :/
