why do people call there husband or girl friend or wife "honey"??

it reminds me of the smell of a honey wagon.... thats not good.. or smelling like a bee hive... that means your girl friend smells kinda like asss ..am i right?

Honey is sweet, so it's an affectionate word for calling your loved one "sweet".

wrong! "honey " is a word of endearment just like sweetheart or baby .
