Many may be friendly to you.
Not everyone will please you, but we all can at least try to be friendly, but even this is asking a bit much of some people.
How friendly people become depends a lot on what each looks for in a friend.
Not everyone makes friends easily.
Some people can walk into a room and within seconds is best friends with everyone, or everyone thinks they are best friends, others after ages still have no one.
Some can visit you, take you out to dinner, give you presents and still not be regarded as friends.
Whether here, instant messaging, email, postal mail, or face to face somewhere it is necessary to communicate.
Where it goes from there is up to each of us.
Already a lot of people show here they are prepared to start :-)

Kayla w, you are not alone!
You will have to walk against the current in order to come out
victorious.
Make small steps every day, they will be bigger at the end of the week.
Look for commune interests you have with others.
Became a member of a club of any kind.
Voluntaire time, regardless how small is your help.
Go to places were you meet people, and ask simple questions until you feel more and more confident.
Have a pet and take it to the park...
If you are a believer, join a circle, temple, church or synagogue.
If the reasons for not having friends are psychological/mental,
consult a family physician. And remember, you are not alone!

Well, what are you doing to find a friend?
I have found my best friends in life at school or at church, at either place you can find people with similar interests and you can find someone to begin introducing others to you.
Also, another way I made real friends was when I did volunteer work. Find a cause you believe in and help make your community better, in doing that, you will meet others who believe in the same things you do and most certainly will make friends... good luck.

could you be more specific:
1) if you want someone to spend time on the internet, you can sign in a chatting room
2) if you want someone to spend time with at cenimas, games and clubs, then that person could be around you at school or work.
3) if you want someone to spend time at a restorent, opera or at bed, then that's a lover not a friend
