GOERING: You must differentiate between the two categories; those who had committed some act of treason against the new state or those who might be proved to have committed such an act, were naturally turned over to the courts. The others, however, of whom one might expect such acts, but who had not yet committed them, were taken into protective custody, and these were the people who were taken to concentration camps. I am now speaking of what happened at the beginning. Later things changed a great deal. Likewise, if for political reasons-to answer your question- someone was taken into protective custody, that is, purely for reasons of state, this could not be reviewed or stopped by any court. Later, when some people were also taken into protective custody for nonpolitical reasons, people who had opposed the system in some other way, I once, as Prussian Prime Minister and Reich Minister of the Interior, I remember...

That would be bad enough if it were true but any American born person falls under the same set of laws where an arrest can be made on a belief of a future act

Well, the men held illegally by Bush can't get trial, can't get a lawyer, can't let their families know they are alive. The are tortured illegally. Another one at Gitmo "killed" himself yesterday. That's what they call it when a man is tortured to death in Bush's prison camps.

If it doesn't, perhaps this will:

"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Well in what context. If you by inference are talking of Club Gitmo. Then no I am not worried, the supreme court has already made rulings in this matter. I support detaining the enemy, period.

Now if by group, you believe that it is possible to "detain" people with out probable cause this also is a myth.

So no as an American I worry not. If i was a killer of Americans, or in support of terrorists, then I would be worried, after all is that not the point?

So Sayeth the Impaler!

Some of these camps have been there since 1957. I am hoping the government is trying to be ready for anything except what you are referring to.
