It probably means that they are spot clean only.
Which means you can only spray the spots you see are dirty.
Or it may result that you need new pillows, or to buy covers for them.

As long as they aren't feather pillows, I just put them in the washer! This works for both couch pillows and bed pillows. I position them against the side of the washer drum, so that when it spins the maximum amount of moisture will be sucked out. No more than 2 per load. I use the hot water setting, and just a little bit of soap. (too much soap will never rinse out fully) Better yet, use a few spoonfuls of an OxyClean type oygenated powder cleaner.
For drying, you can use the dryer as long as the pillows don't have a loose type filling that will migrate to one end. The best way to dry them is to lay them flat in the hot dry sun -- then toss them in the dryer on low for a few minutes at the end with a fabric softener sheet. You may need to re-shape the pillow a little before you let it dry. If not, it can get lumpy and it's never quite the same...but it's clean!

Since a person washes those pillows that can be washed all together, I don't see why you wouldn't dry clean the pillows if the rest has to be dry cleaned. If you check, you might even be able to wash them on delicate. YOu can put a couple of pillows in a washer, or if they are bigger, take them to the laundromat where they have the large washers and put a couple in at once and wash them on gentle cycle. I have often done that and found it didn't hurt one bit. Just be sure to check it out before trying it.

My mother used to tell me to put the pillows in a hot clothes dryer. She says they get disinfected that way.
