What is the best way to study for an advancement test? I don't need to take the test till sept, but I want a head start

1] Start studying now.
2] If you have the material, go through all of it and review a little bit [ an hour or so ] each day. If something doesn't sound familiar, review it. If you're not sure of part of it, review it.
3] If one part doesn't sink in, outline it. [ You should have a notebook even if you are doing correspondance courses. ] Using more than one style of learning [ reading and writing ] increases your chances of learning it. Remember this when you have kids!
4] any vocabulary you don't know, look it up and write down the answer.[ more than one type of learning ]
5] study in a relatively quiet environment - like the testing area.No blasting music, loud movies, shreiking zombie video games. Go to the library if you have to.
6] Increase study time as you get close to the test. A month before, study 2 hours a day. A week before, three. Don't try to cram it all in the last night - this very seldom works.
7] eat well the night before, sleep enough hours, and lay out everything you need so you are calm and prepared.

Go to your personnel office or officer. The navy has a library of titles for all advancement test. You can borrow these study guides. September will be here before you know it.
