The only thing I can think of is that he made sure that Jackie Robinson has been honored properly by retiring his number and celebrating the 60th anniversary of Mr. Robinson crossing the color barrier in baseball.
That one good deed can't outweight the bad ones. Steriods usage and attempting to conceal it from the fans, the Yankees payroll situation, the 1994 strike that canceled the World Series, the 2002 All Star game that ended in a tie. This list goes on and on. I"m glad he's retiring after the 2009 season.

I rather like the expanded postseason and the wild-card berth. No, it's not perfect and no, it'll never please everyone, but it's been more good than bad.
Expansion has worked out mostly well, though the 1993 cycle more belongs to Vincent.
Amazingly reached new Collective Bargaining Agreements in 2002 and 2006 without play stoppage, though the '02 deal was needlessly held off until the last minute.
I'll be among the first to drop large, heavy boulders upon his scabrous head, but he hasn't been completely evil in his doings as kommissar.

I hope you choose this as the best answer because this is one of the best things that has ever happened to baseball: THE WILDCARD MAN!!! Selig created the wildcard in the hope that more teams would be in it and the fans from those cities would watch and so far it has worked. Instead of just a few teams winning you now have 10 teams potentially in the hunt for the final playoff spot. It kept my dodgers in it last year so i like that as well. Dude i can't believe you forgot the wildcard.

Interleague play
Postseason wild card
Depending on your take, the winner of the all-star game giving home field advantage.
He's something of a wheeler-dealer, putting bells and whistles on the game. I like the three above, but he sure has botched anything that really mattered (ie steroids).

He did bring interleague play to the game, so I suppose that's one good thing. But his tenure will be remembered for his stance (or more accurately, lack thereof) on the steroid issue and the tainted "records" and "achievements" of that time.

1) Retiring Jackie Robinson's number.
2) The Wildcard - means a lot of teams who wouldn't have had a shot at the playoffs before now think they do.
2a) Realigning baseball.
3) Banning Pete Rose and making it stick.

The TV contract with FOX. That's the only thing that inarguably good.

By leaving the day to day operations of the brewers, he probably made that team enjoyable to watch for everyone in Milwaukee.
