It is the party of the future. After the Dems clean up after Bush we will once again have a great country and get our civil liberties back. I'm excited thinking about it.

Did you miss the mid-terms or something? The Republicans know they're in trouble, that's why so many of them are praying Fred Thompson's the answer. Good luck with that. The American people have not changed their minds about this war, in fact more of them are against it now than during the mid-terms, and that was the main reason the Democrats won control. What has changed to make that bogeyman go away for the Republicans? Nothing. Add to that the increased perception of corruption coming from the White House and the Democratic Party you love to think of as being in the past is roaring to the front of the line in '08. Bush is going to hand this war off to the next President, and the longer it goes on the more weight the Democrats gain on their side. It's a simple equation, but it does involve having a nodding acquaintance with reality to understand it.

The Democrats are the party of the 60s and 70s. They are still protesting the Vietnam War and here the rest of the world is in the 21st century.
Who really wants the 60s and 70s back? People didn't shave or shower, they wore the ugliest clothes, civil unrest, drugs everywhere, people stepping barefoot in other people's dung, nobody worked. . . Ugh!!!!
Clinton only won in 1992 because Ross Perot ran as a 3rd Party candidate and George Bush raised taxes. Had Ross Perot not run and Bush kept taxes low, we may not live today under the threat of Billary Clinton being our nation's first female president and all the national embarrassment and humiliation and grief that will cause.

Democrats favor shared responsibility, shared opportunity, and more global cooperation. Republicans favor concentrated wealth and power, leaving the smaller people to fend for themselves (see: individual retirement accounts to replace Social Security) and more unilateral action.
At heart, though, the people of this country really do want America to get along with the rest of the world. We know that's how America leads, by example! I think we're all going to stand up next year and tell whoever it is that gets in the White House to restore our dignity and esteem in the world. No more Neo-Con bullying B.S. putting our great servicemen and women into unthought-out, unsupported situations.
And furthermore, there's actually a lot of good-hearted rich folk in this country (really) that will gladly give up their fat tax breaks to help the rest of us, too.

No.
In your own words,"think about it."
CHANGE is the most constant thing.
Not status quo.
Democrats exemplify change; not the insanity of repeating the same old mistakes.
I'm speaking more of individual philosophy than what you might observe in politicians.
But the bottom line is the same.
YOU want to return to the days of Ward and June Cleaver.
It's called the past, and it's gone.
Welcome to the future.

No. Bush has essentially ensured a Democratic president. It might help to turn off FOX news on occasion.
