Here is my situation:
I have two computers that both have WiFi cards
One is a laptop one is a desktop
One has Vista One has Xp
I also have a netgear WGR614v6 WiFi router.
I have Wifi internent provided by my Apartment complex.
I don't have a wired internet connection, No modem either

What I am trying to do is:

Make my own wireless network that dosen't have the internet on it.
or
Make my own wireless network that some how takes the apatments internet and re-broadcasts as it's own.

Is there a way to have one computer supply the wifi to the router and act as a server?

Also
When I connect the two computers to the router via eithernet cables I can only view files on one computer.

The reason you are having problems viewing files on one computer is because of your firewall. On the computer that you cant access is the problem. You need to setup in the firewalls configuration file and printer sharing. You probably have done this in windows already, but you need to do it in the firewall software also.

There is no way to grab the internet from one router to another without using a wireless bridge.
