What is the cause of the recent rash of flag burnings and desecration of war graves by liberals? I know, many will say "Bush!". But if one man can turn liberals against the US and cause them to burn American flags en masse, what does that say about their level of patriotism in the first place?

???

How many people have burned flags, a few dozen?

Burning a flag is NOT being against the country; the flag is a piece of cloth, the country is, well, the country.

What one man did was make the U.S. criminal -- we are in violation of International Law for torture and for invading a country that wasn't threatening us.

Thus, rage.

Thus, flag burnings.

Hadn't heard about the desecration of war graves, but, how is it that all liberals -- or any liberals -- are responsible for this?

Sounds like radicals, not liberals to me.

People who truly love their country do not want their country engaged in Crimes Against Humanity.

Loving America is perfectly consistent with loving the principle of government by consent of the governed.

People who oppose that principle are the ones who aren't really patriots.

I've experienced the same thing "Dan" has and that happens when people are weak and are desperate to be liked.

Propaganda is the most powerful thing in the world.

Do you have a link to prove this was really liberals...........
...........I didn't think so.

Your narrow mindedness shows my friend. At the anti-war protest here at the port city, 40% were conservatives who had lost family members in Iraq or had family members serving in Iraq. Your refusal to believe anyone but a liberal could protest the war shows you have no desire to see or hear anything different. You just want answerers that agree with you. You need not worry about me wasting my time on another one of your questions. You just got ignored.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

This is not recent. Try about 60 years or more of efforts to destroy our country, our freedoms and our lives.

It's not that recent. I mean, yes, it's resurgent, but it's happened before. This is a repeat of the anti-war movement that was so successful in losing the Vietnam war. Heck, it's some of the same people. They're loving it, a second moment in the sun, re-living thier glory days.

These grave desecration were attributed to Nazis, not liberals. Liar.

I still say you are a liar. I do not think that the Veteran at the graveyard would lie about it. He is not promoting a political agenda like you are. You lie when you attribute the crime to liberals when you have nothing but your opinion to back this claim.

It's coming out of other countries and preached to us by political opportunists like John Edwards. I had a friend who went to Europe as a true blooded American patriot and when she came back she was talking all about how awful our country was. It was striking and sad. It's like they always say the have-nots always hate the haves.

Anti-American demonstrations have gone on since America was thinking about becoming an independent nation-state. However, we are simply more aware of it.

Back this claim that the perpretators were in fact liberal. You do know what a 'fact' is, don't you? You are unpatriotic to pit Americans against each other.
