That isn't a fair question I work for a company that employs over 7000 associates and we have recycling bins. if this is a small company maybe you should try talking to the owner if it is a larger company check with the HR department for the best way to voice your concerns. Being green is good for PR chances are if you approach this positively and professionally you can achieve your goal.

I get chewed out at work all the time for not recycling, since Im really bad about recycling aluminum cans and soda pop bottles.

The way I see it is simple, im too lazy to take them back to the store and im too lazy to recycle them. When cans in my office are brought back to the store, I never get anything for them.

The only person who complains about the cans not being recycled, is the person who takes them back to the store for credit. For all I care, until that person starts sharing the proceeds from all the cans with me and the other people in my office they can pick them out of the trash.

Im not being greedy here either, but everytime the cans are brought back to the store at my office the person who does it makes like $50. Im not asking for money back, but the least the person could do is use that money and buy everyone lunch and keep like $20 for his troubles, but instead he keeps the whole $50 for himself.

As far as paper, we have a dumpster at the office and there is no way to recycle any of it

We have a recycle bin in the break room at the hospital where I work where we put pop cans. We also have a recycle bin for used batteries and a recycler comes in for our paper.
We have a doctor who is just nuts and goes thru the trash and digs out baggies etc for recycling. He is a child of the sixties and just gets a little carried away.

They don't need a recycle bin because they have you. If you stopped sorting through for recycleables(sp) the cost for their garbage pick up would increase. You could write a letter to the editor of your home town paper, asking how to get recycle bins into your workplace. That will catch someone's attention.
