It is too soon to get a good visual, both in and out of the uterus.
Don't worry, if there was anything 'exciting' in there, the U/S tech would have acted more nervous and probably gotten a radiologist to come and frown all over you while he looked for the baby.

Dude! It is WAY too soon to see anything. They would know since you had an u/s if it was an eptopic, but right now all there is a cluster of cells. Give it another 4 or 5 weeks and they will be able to see more than. Good Luck!

I think if it were and ectopic pregnancy they should have known that by the ultrasound.
(about three weeks from conception)
The amniotic fluid is being built up.
The egg is a tiny speck almost 0.2mm - the size of a pin head.
The egg has now completely grown into the mucous membrane of the uterus which covers the egg, the umbilical sac and the amniotic fluid cavity.
A fibrin clot closes the hole to the uterus cavity.
The placenta is developing.
The embryo starts receiving oxygen and nutrition through the placenta.

Not nessesarily
if your doctor wasn't concerned don't jump to any conclutions
Even at 6 weeks your little one may only look like a mini lima bean or a small speck on the screen!
