Talk to a GM dealership. I believe the only difference between a flex fuel vehicle (one that will operate on both E-85 and regular unleaded) and a vehicle that runs on just regular unleaded is the on board computer chip. The computer controls the oxygen and fuel mixture and the newer vehicle's have a computer chip that will adjust automatically depending on the type of fuel used. I believe you may be able to change the computer chip, but talk to GM first.

The anser is no.Only newer tahoes that have E-85 badge on the back of the tahoe can use that fuel. Also the factory uses a green fuel cap to help the owner know they can use the E-85 fuel.
