I want to give a debt card to my girlfriend. I just want to know if I can give her one with her name on it, even though she's not a joint account holder. Is it possible?

you can only give her a card with her name on it attached to your account IF she is on the account. She may find it difficult to use a card with your name on it.

To be safe i would not put her on your main account. You can talk with her about opening a joint checking account if you want to make that commitment and trust her completely. Keep in mind if you break up and forget to close the account she can run up overdraft fees that you are then responsible for.

To get a card with her name, you have to authorize her to access the account. The bank won't make a card in the name of anyone not authorized to access the account.

If it is tied to your account the question is why would you want to let somebody have the ability to empty your account? Your choices are let her use yours or add her to your account both of which are foolish moves since you will be responsible for her indiscretions in spending. Please do not be foolish enough to do this, you will only pay for it in the long run
