ok so i have been ttc for 9 months, my periods are usually dead on time, this month i have had bleeding 1 day before my period is due,

can you tell me if this sounds like a regular period or implantation bleeding...

first thing in the morning had a gush of blood (not too much but enough to fill say 1/4 or a pad) and then changed my pad (sorry this is so detailed) and since then i have used only 1 more pad and it was 1/2 covered in blood!

now it's about 17 hours after the first gush....but the blood has been bright, not sure if it's more bright red or pink but have also had brownish blood, i wouldn't call it spotting as is slightly heavier than that but def not like my usual period as i usually have very heavy periods lasting around 7-8 days!

i would usually go through around 5 pads in a day!

so what do you think? the only other symptoms i have had is cramping period pains this morning for about 3 hours and sore boobs all day!

please help..... thanks x

Sounds like your stressing over the conceiving thing. If your were spotting then it would stop, come ,stop ect. it would be really light like a pinkish or brown color. any thing heavy or red is bad unless its just you period. But go get tested because some woman have periods all though out their pregnancy!

Most women will show a positive hCG level by about 11 to 12 days after conception or a couple of days before the next period would have been due.

If you suspect you could be pregnant, you should see your doctor for a quantitative hCG blood test no matter what result you get from home pregnancy tests.

Good luck

I had my period for 3 months after I realized that I was pregnant. I had no symptoms but my my period was not as heavy and normal. The only thing that I notice was that my jeans were not fitting no more. I did not even feel my boobs sore, so I feel that every one can be different. But I would get tested. Good luck.

if you are normally regular, I would take a pregnancy test. I had some spotting when my period was late, after using prometrium (prometrium is suppose to make you start your period), so I took a test. All 6 tests, including a digital, came back positive.

hi!
have you lost a lot of weight recently or have you been very stressed? this sometimes causes lighter flows than usual, I dont know the flow sounds a bit heavier than implantation bleeding... have you taken a test?

i personally dont get my periods coz they are all over the place dont even bother remembering when they should be due i realised that they are tied to my experiences i.e they show up when iam stressed excited e.t.c and when they show up abruptly it is usually less painful than when expected i just ignore it as at least it is cleansing my system

sounds heavier than implantation bleeding, i guess you have to wait and see (as hard as that is while TTC)

I would have this checked if you are concerned. Do you have fibroids?
