it is silly that we duck in the rain. but i think it's because we are trying to not get the rain directly in the face.

Thrid time answering it... It is WWS (the wicked Witch syndrome) They do not want to melt. so , getting closer to the ground will make the drops hit them at a later time, which will not save them... But they think it works.. or else hunching over is the most areodynamic way to run...

They don't want the water to get in their eyes....they'd be running the risk of receiving a jaywalking ticket from an officer looking to reach his quota of written tickets right at the end of the month.
