They are located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Southern Mexico, through to parts of Northern South American. You can see many ruins left by the Mayans, which are some of the only ancient ruins in the Americas. The people are losing their language and culture from onslaught of European culture and languages. Now, Mayan culture is becoming a tourist attraction in areas like Cancun, Mexico.
