RNC shuts down phone bank
WASHINGTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Telephone solicitors say the U.S. Republican National Committee shut down its phone bank because potential givers are angry about immigration policy.

One staffer told The Washington Times that many people they talked to said they would not give money to the party as long as President George W. Bush supports a compromise immigration policy. The staffer said most potential donors are angry "and for 99 percent the No. 1 issue is immigration."

Republican officials said the major reason for shutting down the phone bank was outdated equipment.

"This was not an easy decision," spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt told the Times in an e-mail. "The first and primary motivating factor was the state of the phone bank technology, which was outdated and difficult to maintain. The RNC was advised that we would soon need an entire new system to remain viable."

Schmitt said donations are holding up.

The RNC is not angry the new Comittee chair is Mel Martinez Senator of Florida who is one of the leaders pushing amnesty. The rank and file so called base is the ones who are angry. As a member of that base Im very angry in fact when they called me I told them secure the border stop the amnesty nonsense and we will talk as for now my party affiliation has gone from Republican to Decline to State

Consider the following 3 things in the bill

1. "Provides for a common perimeter between the United States, Canada and Mexico
translated OPEN BORDERS

2. Gang member can get amnesty if they sign a paper promising to not be in the gang anymore. (that sounds like a comedians joke but sadly it isnt)

3. Even Ted Kennedy wanted something where they would pay back taxes and George Bush took it out

Add that up and not only are we angry we our money where our mouths are and thats not in the hands of the RNC

This amnesty will cut the throat of the GOP and they are doing it willingly so its suicide

Thanks for posting the interesting articles. I had thought it was due to the protest over the 2.5 trillion dollar immigration give-away, but now I have to wonder if it could just be because of outdated equipment and the Republican contributors are just going to sit on their hands and let their country and their party be destroyed. But whoever wrote this immigration bill was a big liar, so probably the story about the equipment being outdated is a big lie, too.

A president can in ordinary terms get stuff finished if their celebration controls the two chambers of Congress. Obama has virtually no potential appropriate now, he lost the living house in 2011. He in ordinary terms had complete potential for 2 years. Bush, on the different hand, had complete potential for 6 years, he did no longer lose Congress until eventually 2007 (whilst the Democrats gained the two chambers). for this reason Bush is lots worse than Obama and all of us comprehend it. He had six years to break united statesa.. i do no longer think of Obama destroyed something, yet whether you do, he in ordinary terms had 2 years of it.
