Is it safe? Is it related to microsoft in any way?

The webpage is safe and 100% secure. What you download, may not be safe. I use the site all the time and when I download a program I save to my documents.
Has no relationship to Microsoft.
When I open the software I scan with my antivirus/antispyware, before allowing the wizard to install the program.

While it's not related to Microsoft, the site is very safe. It's one of the top shareware, freeware, demo sites on the web.

yes it is a safe site... I have purchased a couple games from them.
