i have an ability and would like to do it for a living but dont know where to start
or how to make it stronger

Do alot of reading at your local Borders,library ,etc that has info about what you're looking for. Listen to your inner voice on what is appropriate. Try learning meditation first.

Someone that makes such a claim to be psychic would be:
1. A Liar. People do lie. Assuming that everyone in the paranormal community is trustworthy is a pipe dream. They will for various reasons but for attention and/or money would be a reason
2. Mistaken or delusional.
3. Insane.
4. Telling the truth. Someone that does not fear any type of independent controlled testing because they can truthfully do what they claim and can prove it. Without the use ANY type of excuses.
Go to bat for you team, win the James Randi Educational Foundation million dollar prize. Keep it or give it to a charity. Erase all doubts.
Make history.

Practice on your friends and family members. Just look at people and see what you can pick up on them. Then ask them if certain things that you pick up are right. Ask in the most unintrusive manner as possible. This makes you stronger. Also learn to trust what is being shown to you. Try giving free readings in the yahoo chat rooms for practice. You dont have to conduct them in open chat but in private messenger. Practice does make perfect and stronger.

you've already done the most important step of all, Belief
in order to learn psychic abilities you must belief that they exist.
Start out slow, you can't learn these things over night.

stronger and true ...
BELIEVE in them!!!
with ALL your heart and soul!!!
when you believe in yourself and your gifts without reservation or hesitation, ALL else is possible!
after that,
sit quiet and listen to your inner voice and your intuition.
in the beginning they will seem to be only a whisper.

The biggest thing is that you have to learn to trust your instinct. My sister use to keep a book she called "I told ya so". She wrote those things that came to her. It's a way of showing yourself how well you are doing.

practice. try channeling tools, like tarot or crystals.
Also try to do it with people you know NOTHING about. that way you are not "cheating" by hearing or seeing what you want to.

my advice is to meditate. tie a bunch of mugwort with purple and white ribbons and hand it up where u meditate. it will help you to "see" better.
