I have enough problems between a supressed immune system and allergies to antibiotics that if I had been on those flights, that guy would have written my death sentence.

What do you think about that guy?

he didn't know he had tb when he left the country. he was told once there. at that point his thought was that he had to get back to america, to that clinic with the tb specialist, or he would die overseas. from the sounds of it, he'd been walking around since january or sooner undiagnosed! my only fault with him was that he did not wear a protective mask or other way of isolating himself on the plane. if he had worn even just a mask it would have reduced exposure to nearly none.

not to minimize the fear of the people exposed, but there were complaints that they would have to be tested yearly for the next 5,10 or more years. it's just a small little injection right under the skin of your forearm and all health care workers do it yearly as it is. no big deal.

i'm adding to my comment: this guy has had tb for months, walking around not knowing at all that there was something wrong. we get exposed to crap all the time...everytime you walk into the grocery store and touch a cart handle you are exposed to thousands of germs....they now say that public bathroom floors are the germiest and i think of how many times i have sat my purse or jacket on the ground while using the potty. this could be any of us, you guys...any one of us...well except that i cant afford to honeymoon in italy or even afford a ticket to the nearest city on a plane, lol.

that's unhappy. yet i can't say if i mandatory medical or all of us else that it would be incorrect to attempt all retailers to get it. we don't desire extra human beings getting it everywhere. I want I had a extra proper answer to this problem--we don't desire to harm human beings right here-they have a magnificent to be risk-free too. there's a case I examine the place they (an unlawful alien) are refusing therapy and that's frightening to me. they have not got self belief interior the medicine provided. If this weren't a contagious sickness-i'd agree-regardless of the undeniable fact that it is and he or she is putting human beings in probability. I somewhat see her take the Meds. there has been different sickness introduced in--it is no longer a good ingredient. I want they might concentration on the themes that are being led to--screening and isolation is significant to all and circumstances like this tutor it. and of direction you're good-what proportion hospitals will close if this keeps-than many won't get help they desire. and a few would desire emergency help (heart or respiratory or such) with nowhere on the brink of bypass. somebody is very incorrect who spoke back you--no marvel there--human beings like that are element of the problem. continuously effective to work out your posts.

He should be sued by everyone he was close to on those flights and should be put in prison for wreckless endangerment. He is a personal injury lawer and of all people should have known better.

if he had knowledge, then he's quite likely the equivalent of ethical scum.

(I don't know many of the details), but just read in NYTimes:

"At any given time, one person in three worldwide is infected with dormant tuberculosis germs, according to the World Health Organization. ."

I had no idea the number was that high (1/3)

I think he is a tremendous loser. My brother got exposed to TB in Vietnam and had to take pills for a very long time afterwards. And from what I have seen on TV the disease only goes dormant, it doesn't go away... What a mess.
