The day before yesterday, the news report of the the two humpback whales was just about to be aired when my doorbell rang. By the time I got rid of the unexpected visitor, the report was over. I've heard nothing further on the story. Did the mother and her calf make it safely back to ocean? This was such a touching story; I'm sorry I've missed the final chapter. Can anyone please tell me what happened?
Thanks! -RKO- 06/01/07

They went north during the night after everybody finally chilled out and left them alone. Amazing they survived that whole ordeal really. There must be something flowing down the Sacramento river that attracts these animals...if only we had even a clue how they actually operate. Alas Science is truly the blind leading the blind.

Forget about taking a boat between islands. Not happening, you have to fly. April is a bad month to see whales, they are usually gone back north by then. The best whale watching is on Maui. As for islands, the Big Island is the only one for me. I have seen plenty of whales here also, but seldom After March. OH yes, whales are NOT fish.

They swam back to the ocean, however it's been reported that they left behind a "sperm" whale.

The "NUKE GAY WHALES" activists finally got them.

Blubber rained down in a death haze for 2 hours following.

It was very sad.
