Oh.... You think that American car manufactures make cars that only last for 5 years. When they could make cars that last for 10 or 20 years.
Okay, your assumption is incorrect, There are a lot of American Made cars on the road that are over 10 years old. Sure American car makers could produce a vehicle that could last for 30 years as could the foreign car makers. Some of the reason is yes, they would not make enough money to stay in business. The other reason is most people only want a car for 3 to 5 years before they get bored with it or before they want a newer model, not because their old car is worn out, but because they want a new one. New cars are a status symbol.
