Expand America's global influence, leverage that the grow the economy to a rediculous degree, pay off the debt with the increased tax revenue from the greater economic activity.
(I'm not say'n it'll work, just, that's the plan.)

most of the war money regurgitates back into the United States. It pays for the manufacturing of bullets, tanks planes etc, which is produced here and pays the troops who send a good portion of the money home. Unfortunately the war helps the economy as it keeps 120,000 jobs open in the United States and generates jobs to fuel the war machine. The debt argument although worthwhile is overlooked because it helps in other areas of our economy.

It appears that their plan is to let the country go bankrupt.
Almost 25% of the federal budget goes to paying interest on the national debt. When most people or businesses get that far behind, they declare bankruptcy.

Privatize social security. Same for medical care.
Cut spending in half. Eliminate something for nothing programs.
Implement the Fair Tax.
Cap spending at inflation minus 1%.
Pay off the national debt this way. It would go quick if we did this. Cutting tax rates spurs economic growth.

There is no conservative plan to pay the national debt, and no liberal plan, either.
This debt doesn't have to be paid off as it is serviced by constantly inflating dollars, it's value is continuously diminished.
The Chinese don't want to crush us by not buying our debt and they can afford to forgive the debt if necessary to maintain American consumerism.

The tax cuts are generating enough revenue to pay off our debt within 2-3 years. Some economist have it even shorter interval.
