I'm new to wireless internet and I drive a truck across the US. Is there a lot of wifi hotspots and what is the best way to find them?

There are litterally thousands of wifi hotspots in every major city in the US. The easiest way to find them is to park in a area were there are coffee houses or even Mcdonalds has wifi hotspots now.

usually places will advertise their wifi spots but just driving around...well I dunno about that as I've never done that. But you'd be more likely to find one in a bustling city or near a college apartment complex.
