It has to do with your genetic make up, it's normal. Check in with your female relatives (mom, sister or aunt) & you'll find out what normal is for your family. :)

Hair around the nipples is very common for women.
Usually there are just a few hairs and they can grow quite long.
Hair on the chest in the midline (over the breast bone, or sternum) is not considered normal and is often a sign that you have a hormone imbalance.
If the hair is scant and just around the nipple, you can treat it with plucking etc.
If it is dense, or if you have hair in the midline, thick whiskers on the chin, back, lower abdomen or cheeks, then check with your doctor.

My doctor told me that maybe two or three hairs are ok. But if there is a lot, it's a sign of pcod, which can affect your fertility. Ask your doctor next time you are there.
