..you ask a question that you find meaningful or thought-provoking and the answers you get are just "yea" or "no"..I mean, I never answer questions with just yesses or nos..try to be more interesting!

Agreed. I think the "yes" and "no" answers may often be from people who are working to rack up a day's points in the least amount of time.
I crack up when 17 people parrot the same correct answer given by the first or second answerer just for the free points. (I'll go to another question.)
I also don't particularly appreciate answers that are just pasted links (unless I asked for it).

It's very true. I often wonder at times why I bother to think of things that are thought provoking at all.
It seems a quest for some to simply *yes no* and run.
That's why I tend to balance between the *fun* crowd and the *thought* crowd in polls.
Life's kept more interesting that way! :)

I totally understand where you're coming from...I've experienced much of the same on occasion. Even for the simplest questions that technically ask for a "yes" or " no" or a one-word answer, I personally usually give a far more extensive one than most.

That would be irritating. I try to give insightful answers to thought-provoking questions. But of course, if it's a jackass question, it deserves a jackass answer like yea or naw.
