I need help buying a new graphics card. I have a PCI-E slot so i think i have good options. I need to be able to run 3D games (not too high-end) like WoW with smooth quality. I have Windows Vista with a 3.15 Ghz processor and 512 MB. Preferably under $100 but it needs to be vista compatible

The 8500GT would be my best bet for that budget. It is a DX10 card, and DX10 is only supported in Vista.
You would also gain overall system improvement if you increase RAM. 2Gb is best for Vista. Memory modules are cheap nowadays but maybe not for long.

before buying any new hardware make sure it is vista compatable cause everything on the markert is not .and the hardware manufactory are not up to date. so everything right now isstill xp .
and your ruuning vista with 512 megs of memory i would worry about getting more memory up to aleast 2 gigs for better preformance for vista .
