They are just people, the difference is that because they are in the lime light it can be rehashed constantly in the news and entertainment shows. People know who they are, unlike so many of people that practice prejudice on a daily basis and pass those values (I use the term loosely) down to their children. It is unfortunate that it seems bigotry will always exist in one way or another, all we can do is try to teach our children better and educate the people around us how destructive it is. It not only demeans others, but demeans those that practice it by showing how ignorant they are.

because we allow it to... as a society... Hollywood and sports figures are in control because we have given them all our attention...when the majority stop paying attention to it then it will eventually go away...
