I watch an averge amount of tv and was wondering if I could go the whole summer with out any tv. People always say TV is bad for you, I am wondering if I would be better off without it ... or atleast try for the summer.

Rules:
1. No TV at home: Which includes cable, streaming on the internet and portable devices.
2. No TV away: This is going to be tough, when visiting friends I’ll try to stay in a room without the TV and is cases where I have to be near a TV (like a restaurant) I will sit not facing the TV.
3. Movies: Limit myself to two movies a month (either DVD or movie theater).

What do you think on this concept and rules?

Great ideas and rules! You may want to give the TV to a friend for a while so that you won't be staring at it. Check out banesandnoble.com for some good book titles. Good luck!
