...although there have been on-again/off-again rumors of a remake of the classic 1972 drive-in classic film, "The Legend of Boggy Creek", there HAVE been, in fact, two, count 'em, two sequels to the original film. Those films are "The Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek, Part II", from 1985, and "Return to Boggy Creek", in 1977.
The original film played off as sort of a semi-documentary, having had some bearing in truth; but the follow-ups, both failed ploys to cash in on the success of the original film, came off more like cheap monster-in-the-woods fictional horror tales, having little-to-no connection to the first "Boggy Creek".
