MY MASQUITO (SPELL CHECK) JUST GAVE BIRTH, I PUT HER/HIM IN A CARDBOARD JERLRY BOX (UH 5 INCH BIG?) AND I NEED TO KNOW, HOW CAN YOU TELL IF ITS A BOY OR GIRL, IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A BAR THING AT THE STOMACH, BUT HOW LONG TILL I CAN TELL. AND ALSO I NEED TO KNOW HOW OR WHAT I SHOULD CLEAN THE TANK WITH I MEAN LIKE, IS A NAPKIN, TOWEL, CHEMICAL CLEANER OKAY? HELP ME OUT A LITTLE.....

As I'm sure you are already finding out, a cardboard jewelry box is not a good container for water. You need a glass or plastic container that will how at least 1 gallon of water. You will also need to feed the baby Mosquito fish crushed up flake food 2-3 times a day and clean the junk out of the bottom of the container every day. Also every day change half the water in the container.
It will be at least 2 months before you can tell if it's a boy or girl.

You won't be able to tell for a while what sex your fry will be depending on the type of fish you have! Do not use any chemical to clean your tank, use warm water only! Get him into a tank he will not survive in a cardboard box!

mosquito you mean the insect?
i have not heard of such a fish. you put it in a jewlery box. does it have water?
i think you are at the wrong forum, try the 'other' section in pets.
if it is a fish ,chemical cleaners are not okay at all but the napkin and towel are fine as long as they are chemical free.
